Abstract

Description

80 Pages. The natural growth curve is upwards, we add days, years, and experiences. At every growth stage or curve we expect certain achievements and targets to be met. Sadly growth is not only limited to the physical body. Our spirit, soul and body must grow. Different areas of our life must reflect the growth. Life is like a trail we follow. The trail is obscured and not fully visible at first glance. The scenes of life pass by slowly as and when we are willing to look and see. The masses wish the trail is clear, so that they can predict the route they want to choose. They want to know which step to take next and which curve to bend next. But life's trail is not clear, no it is not clear. What we know is there's a hill of life to climb: a hill called age, called health, called wealth, called career, a hill of knowledge amongst others. These different areas of life have different stages that are known, have been tested and have been proven by many. The ones who took the known and tested trails have reached the summits of life in different areas. The ones who jumped the stages have suffered from untold consequences and repercussions. Life is in Stages so do not jump the growth process. Sadly, many are failing to navigate the stages well and that's where the problems are. The book Stages draws the young one's attention to the fact that life is in stages and seeks to admonish one not to jump the stages of life. Stages highlights using stories the different stages one goes through and wraps the principles in real life case studies. In the first story, Philip and Kingsley trivialized and broke a school rule, the resulting consequences affected not only them but many who were not there when that school rule was broken. In addition: Sylvia had convinced herself that she was not intelligent. In order not to disappoint her parents she decided to employ cheating as a solution to her self-imposed mishap. she sailed through her exams and went on to further her studies in the tertiary institution. How did her past cheating life replay in her future when she had succeeded and moved on in life? The two above cases and many others can be found in this book. A great reader for teens, young adults, parents and teens and youth ministry teachers. Timeless principles have been shared in this book. An interesting read, you simply can't put down.
